Terms of use
1. Purpose
AfterNight is a dream journal app for iPhone and iPad. It lets users keep personal accounts of their dreams and reflections and, when available, explore readings generated on the device. This website presents the app; it does not create user accounts or sell subscriptions.
2. Access and features
The app requires a compatible version of iOS or iPadOS. The journal, optional profile, dream entries and personal reflections are available without a subscription. A short reading preview may be shown; full readings and connections between dreams are planned as paid features. Their exact availability and terms will be shown in the app.
3. Scope of the readings
AfterNight readings are prompts for personal and creative reflection. They may be inaccurate or irrelevant. They are not a diagnosis, medical or psychological advice, or a prediction. Users decide what, if anything, a reading means to them.
4. Personal content
Users retain their rights to the dream entries and reflections they write. Users should not record content they have no right to reproduce. AfterNight’s text, illustrations, interface elements and branding remain protected by the rights of their respective owners.
5. Subscriptions
If a subscription is offered, its price, duration, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown in the App Store before purchase. Apple handles the purchase, billing and subscription management; the app then checks the entitlement to paid features. Viewing a paywall or completing onboarding does not unlock those features.
6. Availability and changes
Features may vary with the device, availability of local models and app version. The publisher may update the app and this document. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Data and privacy
Dreams, the optional profile, reflections and readings are stored on the device. AfterNight does not send this content to a server to generate readings. Apple Intelligence or the Qwen model bundled with the app performs the analysis locally.
This version does not sync or export the journal. Deleting the app or losing the device may result in the loss of saved content. Keyboard dictation depends on iOS settings. If a subscription is offered, Apple and the subscription management provider may process information needed for purchase and entitlement checks; they do not receive dream entries or readings for that purpose.
